[Trailer] 90 Sheriffs Rebel Against Governor, Refuse to Enforce Ban on Guns

Facts Matter
Facts Matter
Last week, the governor of Illinois signed into law a new bill making it illegal for anyone in the state to purchase, manufacture, or sell a semi-automatic rifle or a high-capacity magazine—meaning that within the borders of the state, it is now illegal to buy or sell over 170 different types of semi-automatic firearms. As politicians across the country are attacking the Second Amendment and slowly taking away people's right to own guns, county sheriffs are starting to rebel. In Illinois, the sheriffs in over 90 different counties have come out and said that they will not be enforcing a new ban on "assault weapons." Illinois only has 102 counties in total, meaning about 90 percent of all sheriffs are not willing to comply.
