Death toll continues to rise in the Florida condo collapse. Miami-Dade’s Mayor said Friday morning 14 more bodies have been recovered, bringing the death toll up to 78. The Biden Administration was slapped with a lawsuit from North Dakota. The state is suing the admin for suspending new oil and gas leases on federal land and water. The lawsuit argues it'll cost the state hundreds of millions of dollars in lost revenue. This comes as President Biden is promising to end $90B worth of 'tax breaks' for the fossil fuel industry Wednesday. The extra revenue would fund some of his 'Build Back Better' plan. This comes as 9 countries oppose Biden's proposed global minimum tax of 15%.
And a convicted murderer won election to office in DC, all while behind bars. 44-year-old Joel Caston is still behind bars. He's now the first incarcerated person to be elected to public office in DC. He'll fill a vacant slot at one of DC’s Advisory Neighborhood Commissions, or ANCs.
