Protest Leads to Lifting of Community Lockdown

Despite the lockdown, reports from inside China may hint at another reason for the protest. Based on videos circulating through Chinese social media, one residential compound in southern China was recently put under lockdown. Some residents there stockpiled large amounts of supplies and groceries, and later started selling them inside the compound.
