Portugal Elections: Close Race Expected

Portuguese voters head to the ballot box this Sunday. Polls show that the ruling center-left Socialist Party has lost significant public support while the center-right Social Democrats, as well as the Nationalist party "Chega", have shot up in popularity. In October, a bid by left- and right-wing parties to reject the minority government's budget bill triggered the snap election.
