SEA and AIR Tests in Lake Osceola
S
STEM SEALs North Florida
0 Followed
To support student activities for both SEA and AIR challenges within the STEM SEALs program, a model aircraft carrier demonstrates how to navigate, autonomously or remotely controlled. Two types of UAS (unmanned aerial systems) are shown on the main deck of the carrier; one of them takes off and lands. The smaller boat shown at the beginning is also equipped with a microcomputer and is capable of autonomous as well as remote controlled operation. Its purpose is to collect a water sample from the lake for later testing for water quality.
For the AIR challenge the aircraft carrier serves as both, takeoff and landing platform and ATC (air traffic control) for safe operation of multiple UAS in nearby airspace.
