The UK Parliament is proposing new laws that will make it illegal to be an undeclared spy in the country. Ministers are revamping espionage laws to require anyone working for a foreign power or entity to declare their activity, or face up to five years in prison. The bill today reached its final stages in the House of Commons. The law would cover cases like that of Christine Lee - the lawyer who MI5 warned was a secret agent of the Chinese regime.
