Former President Donald Trump’s first hearing will take place on April 4, a court spokesperson confirmed on March 31. Trump's lawyer says they plan to plead not guilty. Trump spokesperson Liz Harrington tells NTD's Stefania Cox she believes that the United States and the world are now in more danger, after Trump's indictment. Florida lawmakers are clearing the way for Gov. Ron DeSantis to run for president and still keep his position as governor. And although Trump would be his main competitor, DeSantis appears to be standing behind the former president over his recent indictment. President Joe Biden visited a ravaged town in Mississippi, announcing more federal help. This is after last weekend’s weather systems pummeled the Southeast and killed over two dozen people. Several CDC investigators fell ill while studying the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, according to a CNN report.
