Woodturning: Live Edge Maple Burl & Ziricote

Adamsen Woodcraft
Thanks for watching!  This is my second filmed project, and it was a challenging piece.  I have been woodturning since January 2019 and I am entirely self-taught, unless learning from other YouTubers counts.  For some reason, the ziricote wood kept chipping, and I had to keep rethinking the shape.  The inside of the maple burl hollowform is not sanded, but finished (as shown) with a thick coat of Howard Beeswax and Orange oil.  At around minute 14:00, I sped up the footage in some cuts to around 1000%-1500%, since the finial took around 3 hours to complete.  The chip in the base of the finial happened so close to the chuck that I was afraid of damaging either the chuck or the finial if I used CA glue with shavings to fill it.  Lessons learned... Please consider subscribing!  Also, please comment, like, and share the video as it will help my channel grow!  If interested, check out my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AdamsenWoodcraft Also, check out Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com/referral/45i3ed/ Thank you!
