A new poll suggests that more than half of registered voters support banning teachers from talking about certain sex-ed topics with students before they reach 4th grade. The Fox News survey asked voters whether they would support a law that prevents teachers from talking about sexual orientation and gender identity with younger students. That's also a feature of a recent Florida law called Parental Rights in Education. And other states such as Ohio and Texas have also begun proposing and drafting similar bills. What’s behind this trend, and where did it all begin? To take a deeper look at these issues, NTD spoke with Alex Newman, a journalist, educator, and co-author of the book "Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians are Using Government Schools."
