Sarah Sanders Responds to Question About Russia Collusion and 2018 Midterms

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders addressed a question on May 7 about the Russia investigation having an impact on the 2018 midterm elections. The reporter brought up the question because President Donald Trump wrote a Twitter message about it on Monday. "Is this Phony Witch Hunt going to go on even longer so it wrongfully impacts the Mid-Term Elections, which is what the Democrats always intended?" Trump wrote on Twitter. "Republicans better get tough and smart before it is too late!" Sanders pointed out that after more than a year of intense scrutiny, investigations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia have produced no evidence. A yearlong probe by the House Intelligence Committee recently concluded that there is no evidence of collusion.
