Woodturning: Hawaiian Saligna Bowl (aka Red Gum Eucalyptus)

Adamsen Woodcraft
Thanks for watching and subscribing! This is my third filmed project! I have been woodturning since January 2019 and am entirely self-taught. This was a piece of reclaimed wood that otherwise would have been lost in a burn pile! I'm not sure my skills with the bowl gouge matched the ambitious shape, since I was too afraid of getting catches to use anything but the carbide hollower at several points. The natural gum in the wood made it incredibly hard to work with, and I had to resharpen several of the tools multiple times. I'm not entirely thrilled with the results of the CA glue on the stress cracks, but more experience gained and more lessons learned... Thanks again for watching! Please consider subscribing and leaving a comment and a like on this video as it will help my channel grow!
