Earlier this month, China announced that it applied to join the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement. Chinese Communist Party head Xi Jinping said that China hoped to cooperate with the international community to promote the development of the digital economy. But experts are concerned that the communist regime would violate the privacy of people in other countries—as it has been doing to its own people.
