★ 4K 🇨🇭Cab ride Pfäffikon SZ - Wetzikon - Zürch HB - Affoltern am Albis - Zug, Switzerland [06.2021]

In this video, we accompany the S5, an S-Bahn (commuter train) in the region around Zürich in sunny weather. We start in Pfäffikon in the Kanton of Schwyz, where we travel along a short section of the Südostbahn railway, crossing the lake of Zürich to Rapperswil. From there we take the Glatthalbahn to Zürich main station. From Zürich there are two direct ways to get to Zug (not including the Sihltalbahn). One is via Thalwil, where InterCity services to Luzern and Lugano travel. The other is via Affoltern am Albis, which is a mostly single tracked line that branches off the mainline in Zürich Altstetten. That is the way we will be travelling today (see the map at 0:57). There's actually quite a nice vista of the alps around Luzern on our way to Zug that the camera doesn't really do justice to.
