The current acting director of the NIH was sitting before Congress on Wednesday, when he admitted that the hundreds of millions of dollars in secret royalty payments, going to men like Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins, do have the appearance of a conflict of interest. This comes on the heels of a report from a government watchdog group released about a week ago that showed approximately $350 million flowing to employees at the NIH from pharmaceutical companies and private firms.
