Citizen Voice - A live interview with Stephanie Mann on 5/3/21 (10) - This week’s episode provided our second live one-on-one interview of the Citizen Voice video project. We offer a live interview with Stephanie Mann, the Founder of Safe Kids Now. Many moons ago, due to her work and from a book she wrote, titled “Alternative to Fear,” the Neighborhood Watch program was initiated in California under Governor Ronald Reagan. California, at that time, spread thousands of those books to various police departments throughout the nation. The intent was to make neighborhoods safe from drug dealers and several other criminals. Many around the nation look at California as an exporter of many bad things today. What a difference one great and good governor can make. The interview deals with Ms. Mann’s experience establishing networks within neighborhoods and linking church communities to the genuine work of securing kid-safe streets and neighborhoods in northern California.
