This past Friday, as Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill became law, the White House called it discriminatory, casting the law as part of a "disturbing and dangerous" trend.  Now in Florida, as a consequence of this law, kindergarten through third-grade teachers won’t be instructing students about sexual orientation or gender identity in the classroom. And parents will have more influence when it comes to what mental-health counselors tell their underage children, part of a trend pushing against previous practices that affirmed LGBT identities. This issue seems to be on the minds of a growing number of parents around the nation. One such parent is Alexis Spiegelman from the parental-rights advocacy group “Moms for Liberty.” NTD spoke with her to hear her thoughts.
