US Taxpayer Money Went to Wuhan Lab; Universities Investigated for China Ties

G
Gina Sturdza
A multimillion dollar Pentagon project is now under investigation for allegedly sending money to a lab in Wuhan, China. At the heart of the program is a New York-based company, EcoHealth Alliance, that has become caught in another controversial program shut down with the National Institute of Health, and was also working on coronavirus research programs with the controversial Wuhan Institute of Virology and Chinese virus scientist Shi Zhengli. The Wuhan Institute of Virology is now the target of international probes as a possible source of the new coronavirus in the current pandemic; and Dr. Shi has also become a central figure in the investigations. And U.S. universities are also being investigated for ties to the Wuhan lab, Dr. Shi, and to other programs tied to China. Among these is the University of Texas, and reports say investigations into other universities are on the horizon. These stories and more in this episode of Crossroads.
