A California woman has been arrested after
her toddler died inside of a hot car.
The 18-month-old "had been accidentally left inside
a vehicle” for 10 hours according to authorities.
Mother Alexandrea Raven Scott took the toddler
to the hospital after finding him but he was dead.
With the windows rolled up the temperature in
the car was likely around 130 degrees, said Jan Null.
Null is a former meteorologist with
the National Weather Service.

While you and I could be in a car that’s,
say, 109 degrees, an infant or small child would be
to the point of entering heat stroke.
Scott, 23, was charged with a number of offenses
including murder.
