Behind the Frantic Mass Testing: ‘I Have to Keep My Job!’

The Epoch Times
The Epoch Times
Recently, Beijing authorities issued a notice that 6 types of personnel must take the nucleic acid test for the CCP virus, including those who work at or have business connection with Xinfadi Food Market, residents surrounding the area, medical professionals, people in the service industry whose jobs require them to have direct contacts with customers, etc. Presently there are 98 institutions in Beijing that provide testing services, and the maximum daily capacity is about 90,000 people. In some testing sites, there are so many people on the waiting list for the testing, and any new appointments will have to wait until September 15. Although every testing site is jam-packed and there is great risk of cross-infection, these six types of people are still trying their best to get the test done as early as possible. This is because they have to obtain a health certificate from the testing site in order to be able to keep their jobs.
