Aggressive dolphin forces Mayor to introduce swimming ban

Maggie Ren
Beachgoers in a village in France cannot swim due to an aggressive dolphin. The dolphin has been scaring tourists and locals with its behavior after appearing 10 days ago. The mayor of the town said Zafar “blew at a swimmer,” scaring her immensely. Roger Lars, Mayor of Landévennec in Brittany, said the dolphin has become more and more aggressive. “It is a big animal, about 3 meters long. As the incidents got worse I hesitated,” he said. “I asked some experts and then I made the decision to close the beach. II do not regret my decision.” The most frightening incident involved the dolphin raising a woman up with his nose. Anyone who swims during the ban risks being fined 39 euros ($45).
