A landslide buried nine people, among them a three-year-old infant, on early July 8 morning in China’s Hubei Province amid some of the heaviest floodings the country has seen in decades. Five have died out of the six people a rescue team has dug out in Huanggang, the city where the landslide happened, according to Chinese state media. The survivor, an 81-year-old woman, was hospitalized to treat her injuries. Local authorities have evacuated more than 40 villagers from the nearby area while searching for the three who were still buried under the debris.
