2018-09-03 19:45
Fisherman Bitten by Blue Shark Off Irish Coast A fisherman sustained a “serious lower arm injury” after being bitten by a blue shark off Ireland’s south coast on September 1, according to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) which treated and transferred the victim to hospital. This footage shows an RNLI volunteer lifeboat meeting the fishing vessel about four miles off the coast of County Cork. The rescue organization said the man had been given immediate first aid by his fellow crew members before the receiving further care aboard the lifeboat and by paramedics on land who brought him to Cork University Hospital in Cork City.
