Long line of Patients With Appointments Outside of Hospital in Harbin

Several Chinese netizens exposed that they have recently seen a startling number of patients at the Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University. - A video posted online on April 7 showed patients waiting to register at the outpatient department of the hospital. A long line formed, extending hundreds of yards. The videographer explained that these were patients who had made appointments. Walk-in patients would not be allowed to seek treatment that day. - Man in the background: I am at the Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University. These people in line have all made appointments. If you don’t have an appointment, don’t get in line. There are so many people here. Those at the end of the line will have to wait several hours to get inside the hospital. - On April 13th, the number of outpatients caught on video was even larger. The line that began at the hospital’s courtyard continued on to the street. The videographer estimated that there were 5,000 to 6,000 patients waiting in line. - This is the outpatient department at the Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University. There are so many patients that the line goes beyond the courtyard. They are lining up on the streets. These are all patients seeking treatment. I estimate roughly about 5,000 to 6,000 patients. Harbin, the capital city of Heilongjiang Province, has become the main focus of attention in China. More than two thousand Chinese living in Russia has reportedly returned to China in the past three weeks. Many were sent to Harbin for isolation and medical observation.
