'Apocalyptic' Bushfire Scorches Budawang Mountain Range

2018-08-17 08:21
Firefighters battled an out-of-control bushfire in Budawang National Park, near the New South Wales south coast, on August 15, warning residents nearby it might be “too late to leave,” ABC reported. An evacuation centre had opened for residents in Burrill Lake, Kings Point and south of Ulladulla as a total fire ban was in place for the Sydney, Illawarra and Hunter regions until midnight as strong winds continued to fan the fire. Darryl Snow, who took this video, said the views from Dolphin Point were an “apocalyptic start to the day.” Credit: Coast Property via Storyful
