Hugh Jackman takes on the world
After 8 years of planning Hugh Jackman will hit the road for his first ever world concert tour in 2019. The triple threat, singer, actor, dancer, said the shows will be a summation of things he has done in the past and new experiences. "Whether it be Peter Allen, whether it be Jean Valjean from Les Misérables or 'Greatest Showman.' When you do a show 400 times on stage, right, it's a part of who you are forever," said Jackman. "Just to be able to get to go back and sing one song from it- just to relive that character and to bring it alive, because it never really leaves you," he added. Jackman is preparing a production that will include dancers, a live orchestra and even hopes to play a piano solo. "I played two years of piano in high school and I regretted giving it up. And so, I've been working on - I would really love to play a song and sing a song on the piano. So, we'll see how that goes on the opening night as to whether it gets picked up anywhere else." The tour will stop in 12 European cities and the U.K. with an additional 22 shows in the U.S. Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show. will begin on May 13th in Hamburg, Germany.
