Wuhan Authorities Impose a Prison-Like Lockdown on Community With Infection Cluster

The Epoch Times
The Epoch Times
At Wuhan’s Sanmin Community, where several new cases were reported on May 9 and May 10, steel panels were nailed together at the community entrance to lock all residents inside. The Wuhan Health Commission said that an 89-year-old man in the neighborhood displayed symptoms as early as March, but he wasn’t confirmed to have the virus until May 9. His wife and four other people in the neighborhood tested positive for the virus the following day, although they were all asymptomatic. In a video released on May 14, the epidemic control team were seen installing steel panels at the community entrance. Ironically, the slogan on the left gate pillar reads, “Always put people first.” Another video released on the same day showed that all stores and restaurants in the neighborhood were closed.
