2 convicted Democrats seek political office while behind bars

Two Democratic candidates will be in jail while voters go to the polls. One of those candidates is expected to win and plans to govern from behind bars until released. Texas lawmaker Ron Reynolds is seeking re-election. He was convicted of five misdemeanors related to misuse of his law practice. No Republican candidates are running against him in the November election. Georgia candidate for Congress Steven Foster was arrested for driving drunk. In police video he is heard in a long drunken ramble with officers. Foster isn’t expected to unseat the Republican candidate running for re-election.
