2 convicted Democrats seek political office while behind bars
Two Democratic candidates will be in jail while
voters go to the polls.
One of those candidates is expected to win
and plans to govern from behind bars until released.
Texas lawmaker Ron Reynolds
is seeking re-election.
He was convicted of five misdemeanors
related to misuse of his law practice.
No Republican candidates are running
against him in the November election.
Georgia candidate for Congress Steven Foster
was arrested for driving drunk.
In police video he is heard
in a long drunken ramble with officers.
Foster isn’t expected to unseat the Republican
candidate running for re-election.
