2018-12-04 15:24
The fatality in a bus crash in Arkansas that left dozens injured was identified as Kameron Johnson. The 9-year-old and nearly 50 other youth football players were en route to Memphis from Texas. Johnson was in the third grade at Aspire Coleman Elementary School in Memphis, Tennessee. “Full of life, energy, [and] potential,” Aspire Public Schools Supt. Nickalous Manning said of Johnson. The charter bus carrying the players went off the roadway early Monday and flipped four times. One player said he woke up to see blood everywhere. “Everybody was bleeding,” he said. Some of the players suffered broken bones while others needed stitches for deep gashes.
