A driver piloting a car that was having mechanical problems was caught on camera reversing a long distance in order to exit a highway choked with traffic. Traffic cameras in Ohio captured the white SUV reversing out of a line of traffic on Highway 33 using the entrance ramp to exit onto Gender Road, reported Fox 13. Eventually, the car stopped in a nearby parking lot at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the state Department of Transportation told KXAN that the vehicle may have had transmission problems, prompting the driver to reverse for a long distance. The video, though, ends with the line, “Please, don’t be that driver.” Officials said if people are having mechanical problems they should pull to the side of the road and call for assistance.
