The Tale of the Lotus by Lyudmila Oryol Lyudmila Oryol lives and works in the city Dnepropetrovsk of Ukraine. In 2001, she encountered Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) – an ancient Chinese cultivation practice of moral and physical improvement, which speaks of the main characteristics of our universe – Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. The practice helped Lyudmila expand her perception of the surrounding world and find an answer to the age-old question about the meaning and purpose of life. “The tale of the lotus” is author's way of telling people about her understanding of eternal truths: honesty, kindness and patience towards each other, as well as about how we should, just like a small lotus flower, return to our original home.
