President of Omnia Financial Felt 'Enlightened' by Shen Yun

Story-based dance is one of the ways Shen Yun portrays Chinese traditional culture. According to its program book, Shen Yun performs stories from ancient legends, to those set in modern-day China. All of the performances display traditional Chinese values. "Was fantastic. One of the kind, I’ve never seen anything like it. Completely unique, the dancing and the music was spectacular," said James Lynch, the VP merchandise & licensing of Octagon. "I loved it and I thought it was really wonderful," said Barbara Currie. "I liked how they use the western instruments with the Chinese instruments so so beautifully I thought that was really nice." Currie is a musician from the Met Orchestra. She attended Shen Yun performance at Lincoln Center, New York, on Jan. 19, and she was not only impressed by the unique orchestra of Shen Yun, but she was also blown away by the soprano singer. "She was beautiful, that was amazing, really beautiful. But all the soloists were great, it was a very flawless performance and they were great, they should come to The Met sometime, and sing there," she said. Shen Yun’s mission is to revive the traditions of China’s 5,000-year-old civilization through the arts, starting with its connection to the divine. Brian Rosoff, the president of Omnia Financial, LLC, felt enlightened after learning about the traditional Chinese culture. "Fabulous, absolutely fabulous," said Rosoff. "It was educational, I learned things I didn't know about the Chinese culture, about the beginnings of the Chinese culture. It was really truly incredible. The colors, the dance, everything was fabulous, the singing, the instruments. What could you say bad about it? In fact, I want to come back again with my wife." "About the culture, I didn't realize about the Chinese culture and how it changed with the people outside. And the communist people outside trying to ruin such a beautiful heritage, it’s a sin, it shouldn't be allowed," he added. "[The performance is] really about the inner beauty of the people of China, and what they're really all about, the goodness inside of them from the history and the roots." "Enlightened, because like I said, my education, just from what I learned in two and a half hours of being here was truly incredible," said Rosoff. "[The] mission is phenomenal. It's a shame what happens in the world, everything bad should be just abolished, and just goodness and people from the heart and what you see here was incredible," he added. "I'm going to tell them to come to see it, because I think that most people don't understand what the Chinese culture is truly all about." Lynch hopes that Shen Yun can have more performance groups to fulfill its mission. "I think you've done a fantastic job I hope they have more companies than six soon enough. We can get the word out, it’s great," said Lynch. NTD News, New York
