Several officers injured in Houston shooting

Kuting Feng
Houston's police chief said two suspects were dead after a shooting on Monday that injured five officers, including four who were hit by gunfire. Chief Art Acevedo said the suspects were killed after firing at officers serving a search warrant at a southeast Houston home where authorities allege black tar heroin was being sold. Four of the officers were shot and a fifth suffered a knee injury. Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner said it had been a "tough day" for the city and encouraged Houstonians to pray for the officers and their families. Houston's fire chief Samuel Pena said two of the injured officers had been airlifted to the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center hospital and three were taken by ambulance.
