THE REMAINS OF ARMY MASTER SERGEANT CHARLES MCDANIEL WERE BURIED ON SATURDAY (10/27) IN GREENWOOD, INDIANA, WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS. THE U - S ARMY HAD DECLARED THE 32-YEAR-OLD SOLDIER DEAD ON DECEMBER 31ST, 19-53, WHEN HIS FATE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. DURING THIS PAST SUMMER, NORTH KOREA TURNED OVER 55 BOXES, BELIEVED TO CONTAIN THE REMAINS OF AMERICAN SERVICE MEMBERS KILLED DURING THE KOREAN WAR. MCDANIEL'S REMAINS WERE IDENTIFIED ON SEPTEMBER 12TH.
