Thousands of people marched along Toronto’s Yonge Street on Sunday, April 30, retracing the path of a van that targeted pedestrians a week ago.
Mourners then gathered at Mel Lastman Square to remember the 10 victims. Another 16 people were injured.
Alek Minassian, arrested at the scene, had been charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder and 13 counts of attempted murder, Global News reported. He might face three additional counts of attempted murder at his next court hearing on May 10, the National Post quoted Toronto Police Inspector Bryan Bott as saying.
