Supreme Court- Justice Ginsburg has cancerous growths removed from lung

Della Sun
Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg underwent lung surgery on Dec. 21. The Supreme Court confirmed in a statement that the operation removed cancer from her left lung and that there’s no trace of the disease left. Ginsburg is resting comfortably after the operation at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She is expected to stay at the hospital for a few days. No more treatment is planned as she is now cancer free. The cancer was discovered incidentally. Last month, the 85-year-old Justice suffered three rib fractures from a fall at her office. During tests performed to diagnose and treat the rib fractures, the cancer was found.
