Rafael Nadal helped in the clean-up operation
after a devastating flood hit his native Majorca
“Sad day in Majorca,” the 32-year-old Spaniard said
about the severe floods in San Llorenc.
“My sincere condolences to the relatives
of the deceased and injured.”
At least ten people are believed to have died
when torrential rain hit the town of Sant Llorenc.
Hundreds of locals and tourists were trapped
in homes submerged by floodwaters.
Nadal invited people affected to take shelter
at his tennis academy in nearby Manacor.
