2019-05-03 11:34
Agent James Beluga, White Russian, Moby Dick and Hvladimir ('hval' is Norwegian for whale) are among the names suggested for a white beluga whale which has been loitering off the coast of northern Norway. Norwegian broadcaster NRK's local Finnmark service asked on its Facebook page for name suggestions for the whale which surfaced again in Hammerfest on Thursday, May 2. Jorgen Ree Wiig, an inspector at the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries, watched and filmed the whale for two hours and said it appeared to be foraging.
