British Pubs Face Crisis Over New Measures

With many parts of the UK facing tighter restrictions, there's fears bars and pubs forced to close won’t survive the pandemic and questions over the new measures having any effect. Under tier two restrictions starting in London from after Friday, midnight—households won’t be allowed to mix indoors. But, about a 20 minutes train ride away is St Albans, people living there can mix indoors, as they remain in tier one. The historic city claims to have the most pubs—per square mile—in England.
