A $533 million lottery winner was identified. Richard Wahl, of New Jersey, claimed the prize. The 47-year-old was introduced Friday at the Mega Millions lotto headquarters. He will take the cash option worth $220.7 million after taxes. The winning ticket was sold on March 20 at a Lukoil gas station. “We cried a lot together as a family,” Wahl told local media. “We didn't sleep that much,” he said. “The nerves, the shock of everything.” “I don't think it's still settled in for us." He had only played twice before. Wahl said he wouldn’t talk about his family during the news conference. New Jersey doesn’t allow lottery winners to remain anonymous. "We're just humbled by the fact that everything’s happened,” he concluded. The $533 million annuity option will be paid over 29 years. Credit: New Jersey Lottery
