Heavy rains continue to rage in southwest China. On June 20, the water level of the Baishui River, a tributary of the Yangtze River inside Yunnan Province, rose 26 feet (8 meters) overnight. The first floors of many buildings were completely submerged in water. In a video released from Zhaotong city in Yunnan, half the structure of a house was seen falling into the water, as the foundation had been eroded by floodwater.
