Man Crashes Quad Bike Into His Own Car—And It's All on Video

Petr Svab
This was the shocking moment a man drove a quad bike into his brand new sports car worth nearly $68,000. Andy Quay, 25, was trying to park the quad bike, which belongs to a pal, beside his red Ford Mustang GT500, which he bought less than a year ago. But as he took his foot off the pedal, the bike accelerated forward and smashed into the side of the sports car before spinning in the air, throwing Andy aside. Andy said: “It just took off and did a wheelie, knocking off the wing mirror of my car. “The quad bike is my pal’s, I was only taking it to the unit to get it fixed. “The suspension and the throttle conversion had been altered - that was why it went flying. “I’d just stopped the quad to park it, and I was just getting off it.” The fisherman, from Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland, hurt his leg in the fall and the bike and car were both damaged. He said: “My friend had only just got the bike, and I was helping him put it in the back of the van when it went off and nearly broke my wrist.” The car is worth over $67,700 and was bought seven months ago.
