The Epoch Times
The Epoch Times
Store owners in Guangzhou demanded rent deduction in strikes, but were suppressed. There are more than 100,000 residents in Hubei province working in garment factories or owning shops in the Haizhu District. But because of the CCP virus pandemic, no one is able to sell anything. On April 21 and 22, store owners from many cities in Haizhu District went on strike and protested in the streets, shouting the slogan “Rent Deduction,” which caused suppression and many arrests by police officers and the military. Store and garment factory owners have been demanding rent deduction for 3 months, but the government has not yet replied to the request. Store owners from Shang Yong Tsun, Hou Jiao, Kang Le, Lu Jiang and other cities in Haizhu District in Guangzhou, went on strike for two consecutive days and chanted the slogan “Rent Deduction.”
