American football fans clashed in the stands at the much-anticipated ‘Battle of the Bay’ between the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland raiders on Thursday, November 1. These videos show fans scuffling during the game at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Police arrested at least one person following the fight, local news station KRON4 reported. Several others were arrested for intoxication, the report said. The match ended 34-3 to the 49ers. There was further controversy following the match after a photo emerged online of a 49ers cheerleader kneeling during the national anthem. It marked the first public kneeling protest by an NFL cheerleader, ABC reported. The protest was first initiated in 2016 by then 49ers player Colin Kaepernick, in a demonstration against police brutality.
