British Lawmakers Give Theresa May’s Brexit Deal a Lifeline
British lawmakers have tonight voted on a series of amendments to Theresa May’s unpopular Brexit deal.
And there was some rare, good news, for the Prime Minister.
Lawmakers voted in favour to renegotiate the Irish border arrangements in her Brexit plan. Although it’s unclear exactly what those arrangements are.
May will now seek to return to the negotiation table—and try to persuade Brussels to reopen the withdrawal agreement.
