It's going to be a lot of work to keep security tight and efficient at dozens of venues during the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo. But an advanced security system that has the ability to recognize faces will help keep things in check. The NeoFace technology was developed by NEC Corp. The technology will monitor every accredited person — including athletes, officials, staff and media — at more than 40 venues, games villages and media centers.Tokyo will be the first Olympic host to introduce the face ID tech at all venues. The system's expected to effectively eliminate entry with forged IDs, reduce waiting times in line and reduce athletes’ stress under hot weather.
