Firenado Spotted During Oklahoma Wildfire Fight

2018-04-18 17:52
Two major wildfires are raging in Oklahoma, exacerbated by dry, windy weather. The Bethel Acres Fire Department took this video of “firenados”—tornados of fire caused by swirling updrafts—at the Rhea fire, which has been burning for a week. By April 18 the fire had consumed 261,781 acres and was only three percent contained, according to the Bethel Acres Fire Department Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Bethel-Acres-Fire-Department-116122125076589/ Credit: Bethel Acres Fire Department via Storyful
