On Aug. 22, the first European satellite to measure wind speeds around the world was launched. The launch was postponed for 24 hours due to bad weather conditions. Named after the God of the keeper of the winds, Aeolus made a successful launch. Climate and weather predictions will be more accurate now thanks to Aeolus.
