Tom Ozimek
The bizarre online presence of Nasim Aghdam reveals clues into the motives of the woman dubbed the "YouTube shooter" after she opened fire on company employees before turning the gun on herself. Aghdam wore many masks, alternately referring to herself on her website as a vegan bodybuilder, artist, singer, and animal rights activist. Of the several profiles she featured on her site, most have been shut down since she allegedly walked into YouTube's San Bruno headquarters on Tuesday, April 3, brandishing a 9 mm handgun. After allegedly wounding three YouTube workers, Aghdam is reported to have turned the gun on herself. Ismail Aghdam, the father of the 39-year-old woman, said to Mercury News that his daughter told the family that YouTube had "stopped everything," and "she was angry." Watch the video, which shows her anti-YouTube obsession, as she quotes Adolf Hitler and hits out at the company she allegedly chose to target in a final, violent act.
