The UK will expel 23 Russian diplomats in retaliation for a nerve agent attack on a former Russian double agent on British soil.
The British government has identified the substance used as Novichok, a nerve agent developed by the Russian military in the 1970s and 80s.
The diplomats being expelled have been identified as "undeclared intelligence officers,” according to British Prime Minister Theresa May.
High-level bilateral communications with Moscow will also be suspended. And Russian state assets will be frozen
This will be the single biggest expulsion for over 30 years.
