Canadian Business Owners Inspired by Shen Yun 'It Educated Me'

Shen Yun draws inspiration from China’s 5,000 years of civilization and its virtues, which are known to be divinely inspired. Audience members from Toronto saw Shen Yun at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts between March 26 and March 31. "I'm speechless it was incredible performance it covers so many wonderful aspects of art," said Donna Child, an art gallery owner. "It’s been so wonderful," said Marsha Wheeler, an interior designer. "The colors, the costumes, the backgrounds, the dance, the choreography, is absolutely phenomenal." "To see five thousand years of history of Chinese dance and art and just the storytelling," said Tania Artenosi, owner of Coldwell Banker. "What an amazing what amazing thing to experience for the very first time." They expressed their appreciation for Shen Yun’s efforts to revive traditional culture. "I really really admire the young people that are performing these dances because again it's carrying on the history and the legacy of Chinese culture, and that's so important," said Child. "I think that's probably one of the things that are missing is in society is the appreciation of culture and divine inspiration and also being aware and understanding and being respectful and I think that can only happen through education, and that's what this performance has done, it's educated me," she added. Shen Yun’s uplifting message touched the hearts of those in the audience. "Of peace harmony all the things that make a good world," said Child. "I think that the educational aspect of it is an invaluable incredible opportunity and it's fun it's energetic it's lively its history its culture its divine inspiration it's so many wonderful, wonderful things." "When the gods came down, so you knew that there was this thread through Chinese culture that they believe in the higher being, and that they come down and they bestow on you all the good giving's when you do good," said Tania. "It's a lot of things that we can still learn today." NTD News, Toronto, Canada
